This is a table lamp in glass and sporting a very fetching black tube shade. The black shade is actually made up of strips of super soft velvet on a heat resistant backing (on each strip of material, not a solid), this means absolutely nothing but it looks great.
The glass stem is could be plastic as it is super clear and fells like glass to touch, we just can’t tell. Which ever material it is, it is constructed to be strong as the ball shaft is solid.
